Jim Achille, Founder & CEO

Jim Achille has more than 25 years of executive management experience, with a specialized background in starting and growing privately-funded, high technology companies. At Security Management Partners, he is responsible for establishing the Company as New England's leading information security consulting provider.

Prior to founding SMP in 2001, Mr. Achille held executive management positions for a portfolio management software company, as well as Thompson Financial Services' Asset-Backed Securities and Treasury Management Divisions. He has a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

Peter Bamber, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, Vice President, Information Security Consulting Services

Peter Bamber has an extensive information security background which includes project management for hundreds of public, private and government firms. At Security Management Partners, Mr. Bamber creates and oversees implementation of and methodologies for all of the Company's service offerings.

Mr. Bamber holds numerous information security vendor and industry certifications and is a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA.org), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA.org), InfraGard (INFRAGARD.net), High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA.org) and New England Disaster Recovery Information X-Change (NEDRIX.com).   Mr. Bamber has a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts- Amherst and Clark University for Information Technology.  

Michael Kanarellis, Director of Sales

Michael Kanarellis leads the strategic sales direction at Security Management Partners. For nearly five years at SMP, he has managed the continued sales growth through coordination of trade show, seminar, and direct sales activity. With over 15 years of security selling experience, Mr. Kanarellis brings experience and a history of achievement to SMP’s sales effort.

Mr. Kanarellis has held senior sales positions at security industry leaders including Netegrity, Intrusion Inc., and Qualys. Michael has a Bachelor of Science from Babson College where he graduated Cum Laude.
